Welcome to ‘A Lifetime of Adventure’ or ALOA for short… we’re a small, family run business from the North East with BIG plans. Whether you’re looking for gift ideas for an adventure lover, wanting to treat your tiny explorer for their next trip or get cosy in one of our sweatshirts, we hope ALOA can become your go-to for all of you outdoorsy lovers for years to come!
When starting out, I (Bek) designed a travel themed colouring book for our daughter, handmade Dreamcatchers for friends and family, designed invitations for birthdays and occasions…never in my wildest dreams did I believe I would have the chance to bring my vision of having my own brand to reality. After dealing with the most incredible suppliers we’ve decided to bring the launch of this whole site a lot sooner than anticipated. I’ve definitely went in feet first, or maybe head first because I feel out of my depth, but it will get there. It’s already taking form and it’s so exciting.
The last few months have been crazy, I’ve been designing, product sampling, drawing, checking out units and content planning… doing everything I can to make sure that this space becomes so much more than a brand. The vision of ALOA is one that really started back in 2015, when my husband and I met (Aaron’s the other half of ‘we’ I keep referring to)… we promised each other we’d see the world together which sparked many wonderful years of seeing the world together… in 2019 on our wedding day we created our own vows, one being that we’d live ‘a lifetime of adventure’. This stuck, it’s become our family motto and the tagline for our travel blog too, where we prove to anyone who’ll listen that you can travel with kids, you can still date your spouse after starting a family and the adventures don’t have to stop! You can make anything an adventure, we’re very big on quality time and embracing the craziness of these precious years and through our own love of travel, taking kids overseas and my background knowledge through working in the travel industry - ALOA was born… and here we all are.
We really do hope that you enjoy embarking on this journey with us as we grow, learn, evolve and inspire through our products and content. You have no idea how grateful we are for each and every person who’s supported us until this point, and for the wonderful people we haven’t even met yet!
